Samar Hatoum
Co-Founder/ CEO/
Director of Professional Services
Samar has a PhD in Civil Engineering and a Project Management Professional certification from PMI with over 20 years of progressive leadership and project management experience. Prominent work experience includes managing a construction company in Dubai, UAE, overseeing numerous complicated programs and projects in various industries, and consulting in software development & testing. She joined an Asplundh Engineering subsidiary (formerly Power Delivery Solutions) in 2015 as a Sr. Project Manager to direct complex Transmission Engineering projects that led to her promotion to managing the Transmission line of business at PDS in 2019. She cofounded Power Industry Experts, LLC in 2017 and assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Paige Brown
Deputy Director of the Project Management Office
Paige has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is currently seeking her Project Management Professional certification and Project Management Office certification. She has over five years of experience in the utility consulting industry with rating, maintaining, and engineering high voltage transmission lines. She joined an Asplundh Engineering subsidiary (formerly Power Delivery Solutions) in 2014 and managed the corrective maintenance program for clients in three service regions.
Megan Olson
Director of Human Resources
Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and earned her SHRM-CP certification in 2019. Megan joins PIE with over 9 years of professional experience in people management and client relations. She enjoys working with people and believes employees are the most important asset of a business. Megan spent extensive time working for a high-end retailer where she was appointed Market Trainer for the Maryland Market and participated in new training development at corporate. Following her time in retail, she joined Asplundh Engineering Services (formally Power Delivery Solutions, LLC) as a Distribution Coordinator, but quickly found herself back in the people business. Completing Asplundh’s Compliance Training Program, Megan served three years as the regional Compliance Specialist and assisted with HR administration.
